Mickey Haller is a lawyer who cruises throughout Los Angeles in his chauffeured Lincoln Towncar. His clients run from members of motorcycle gangs to drug dealers and prostitutes, and he makes a decent living representing them. But when Valenzuela, a bail bondsman, sets him up with Louis Roulet, Haller thinks he has attained the client every lawyer hopes for: a franchise, a client who’ll pay big bucks, over and over again. But Louis Roulet is not what Haller expects, and he finds himself questioning his own ethics and skill as a lawyer in The Lincoln Lawyer.

Plot Overview: The Law, Family and Murder

Mickey Haller is happy to represent Roulet, a rich real estate agent accused of rape. But when Roulet adamantly denies the charges and insists that Haller make the case disappear, Haller begins to think Roulet may be more trouble than he’s worth. As his story begins to show its holes, Haller realizes that Roulet may be linked to a previous case, one where his client when to jail for murder.
